Maid Service (Part 2)

Here is the second part to Friday’s caption. It is just as I promised.

Also, I dare you guys to spot the difference between the images used in today’s and Friday’s caption.

  1. the differences between the images is that in the second on the mouth is open and the eyes are looking at you not away

  2. Differences are

    Doors a different shade
    Blush is slightly brighter
Her eyes are looking more towards you (or her master if she’s supposed to be looking at the master)

I think that’s all of them xD

      • Two things I don’t like:

        1. People stealing art from small time artists without their permission. Taking from corporate entities I’m more ambiguous about.

        2. People who can’t mind their own damn business and don’t have the strength of character to put their names behind their snipes. Piss off.

      • Actually I’ll throw you a bone and clarify, because that still is an honest question — I don’t read full stories that use even art stolen from a corporation to promote them. Caption images by contrast are pretty much blatant masturbation material so I don’t take them as seriously.

If you have anything else you want to say to me, do so at least from a sockpuppet account or something. Words you’re not capable of saying without a face are not words anyone should find worth listening to.

      • I don’t mean to “snipe” at you. It simply seemed to be a discrepancy with your stated policies, and I wanted to understand. There are some things that I still find strange, so I’d like to ask a few follow-up questions. As you requested, I’m using a name.

If you take captions less seriously for being “blatant masturbation material”, does that apply to stories as well? You stated on your “TG Pet Peeves” list that most of the stories that offend you were “written solely to get someone off”. Inversely, if someone were to write a gender-bending caption with no sexual intent, or with an aim toward higher literary standards, would you refuse to read their work unless they made sure to comply with all relevant intellectual property laws?

Why does it offend your sensibilities less for someone to attach unlicensed art to masturbation material than to something you’d take more seriously? I’d expect it to run the other way, if anything. If someone were to create an image and attach it to one of your stories without your consent, would you rather be associated with a well-painted, thought-provoking watercolor, or a poorly-composed, low-resolution picture of a girl performing some sort of sexual act?

      • This isn’t the right time or place for that sort of discussion, sorry. You’ll just have to trust that I have my own reasoning. If you find that answer unsatisfactory, then understand that I find it unsatisfactory that a stranger is demanding me to explain myself.

(I’m a little bit surprised anyone even knows I exist outside of DA, honestly, so if I was rude it was partially out of defensive surprise)

Here is the short version, anyway: Captioned aren’t trying to be high art or upgrade the reputation of the person making them. It’s not *meaningful* stealing anymore than a porn version of a major movie is likely to cause the porn-director to receive their own accolades.
By contrast most writers on DA who steal images for their stories are usually doing it to make their stories more appealing than they’d otherwise be, which is essentially creative vampirism. (yes, I know the irony of me calling it that! hush! >_> )
